1.
How far are you from Darwin?

65 km's including traffic lights, approximately one hour's drive from the city of Darwin, if you know the way. Follow the Stuart Highway then turn left at the Arnhem Highway turn off. See our map for directions.
We recommend you allow 75 minutes comfortable driving.

Note: Adelaide River on the Arnhem Highway on the way to Kakadu National Park.

2. Will I see crocodiles?
We are dealing with wild prehistoric animals, once facing extinction, every cruise is completely different.
On very rare occasions when the river is in flood or the weather is unusually hot,
we may not see a saltwater crocodile. This is incredibly rare though.

This is one of the most reliable Wildlife Cruises in the world.

3. Which cruise is the best?
The morning cruise tends to be packed with 4.W.D Safari's on the way to Kakadu National Park. If you are an early riser.

The midday cruises tend to be independent travelers.

The last cruise is often quiet.Crocodiles come to the boats on every cruise. (See question two)

Some people wish to see the mud banks. As the river is tidal, to predict the low tide,
its opposite to Darwin ie, High tide in Darwin is low tide at the river.
Check the local newspaper.

10. What do you think of Steve Irwin?
Both Steve Irwin and Bob Bredle have done amazing things for tourist promotion,
education programs, documentaries, even children's books.
We do not however agree with making it seem that interaction with crocodiles is possible in the wild. It is not!

"Crickey, this crocodile cruise is better than a Steve Irwin Movie!!"
