WINDOWS ON THE WETLANDS
Our entrance is shared with the Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife Commissions, Windows on the Wetlands Visitor centre.
A striking large blue building, on top of Beatrice Hill, Its upswept roofline mirrors the wings of the thousands of wader birds found on the surrounding floodplains. With the lower storey given over to exhibits to explain how the changing seasons affect the local environment, it presents an entertaining understanding of the surrounding ecology. The up stairs viewing deck gives a birds eye view, 270 degree view of the Adelaide river floodplain.
The Windows on the Wetlands Visitor centre is a fantastic introduction to the Adelaide river, before continuing the short drive down the hill to our guest facilities beside the river its self.
